I recently shipped large item (40lb) via FedEx and eBay shipping calculator gave me ~$25 for dimensions and weight. I added 5lb more because in the past I shipped two used tires via FedEx and they charged me one price via eBay calculator and later adjusted to double shipping cost. This time I added 5lb extra (to eBay calculator) and went to FedEx office to verify my weight (and get receipt). Still, 10 day later, eBay sent me email that FedEx charged me for another $31 dollars (more then double shipping cost!!!).
This happens to me twice. Both times with FedEx.
Is there something I can do or just stop using FedEx? Sort of "if you do not like the you get overcharged each time, do not use us as shipping service".

There has been a lot of this in recent months. Some of it was addressed, yet I still continue to see this happen time and again.
Now a review of the charges they may have for an item can shed light on the problem sometimes. UPS for example can hit you with a surcharge regarding fuel and/or delivery mis-labeling, such as to a residence, but it was a business, etc.
I tend to avoid FedEx on the whole, and only use UPS when I have a large package as USPS charges WAY too much for larger items. But 99% of my shipments go USPS and I have had good results.

This is the cost details. They added 2lb to shipment that was already padded with 5lb.

No, they went by dimensional weight. Not physical weight. Which happens a lot. Space matters, and that is calculated different than actual weight.
And they hit you with both the fuel and residential surcharges. Yikes.
Notice the rate discount and additional handling cost were nearly the same? I did.
If it were me, I would stop using FedEx if they are going to pull that kind of stuff on me.
