I recently purchased what I thought was a brand new LV bag off of eBay. It passed authentication with ebay. I knew it was not real when it got here. I ordered the real thing from LV and took pictures of the obvious differences. eBay said it was real because “they” checked it. I appealed it and they still went in favor of the fake. After ALL the obvious pictures!! I’m appealing with PayPal and was told I need to file a police report. Can anyone give me any advice? This seller has 1 feedback, but I trusted eBay to catch a fake. I made a mistake~ a $2,000 one and I’m furious that eBay did not protect me. I have been both a seller and buyer on ebay for over 19 years. In hindsight ~I knew better… I didn’t realize until the real one got here that LV does not cover their hardware with anything. Had I know this I would have save myself a lot of grief and stress. Something eBay obviously doesn’t know either! Has anyone had the same experience and what did you do?
