I got scammed on Facebook. I bought a starlink antenna that I now know I am not getting. This happened almost 2 weeks ago and I have been researching him online since. On facebook, he joins clubs and groups and once approved and on the "inside" he sells the same antenna for $450 and moves on. He has joined over 2,000 facebook clubs in the last month as JDM. On Mercari, he is J D M.
I believe he is here on ebay. He currently has 3 listings for New Starlink Antennas. All 3 listings have the same photo. It's the same photo on the Mercari site only that seller is in Florida. On eBay he's from Pennsylvania. Both sellers are brand new accounts. He also goes by John Willington and Darel Holford. I have given all my information to meta/Facebook, to no avail. He's still joining new clubs and selling his Antenna there. The same will happen at eBay, so I thought the community might have more power. I have to be careful as he has my address, email and phone number. He doesn't know ai know yet.
(He has 2 other listings for the same antenna).
If anyone has any idea...
I realize he's small fry in the eyes of law enforcement, but if i can save 1 person, it will be worth it.
I just don't want anyone else to go through what I did. His scam is 2 part. After you pay JDM, he ships your purchase with "Eurekatransit" who need another $150 (fully refundable when they deliver your box) for insurance. I didn't pay the insurance, but after 2 weeks, he's still trying to get me to pay it.
Pass it on
Thanks
