ebay sure doesn't make this easy. I'm a senior IT professional and can't figure it out. I am uploading about 10 items (Sports Cards). The upload processes successfully but then I have to manually enter a few fields which did not upload properly. Here are the fields and the values I am using that are not being accepted. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Error: Location Missing. Template Field: PostalCode Value: 33647 (I've also tried the 33647-XXXX and using the Location field as an alternative listing "Tampa FL")
Error: A shipping service is not specified. Template Field: ShippingService-1:Option Value: US_eBayStandardEnvelope
Error: Return policy is not specified. Template Field: ReturnsAcceptedOption Value: ReturnsNotAccepted
Error: Condition data is required for selected category 261328. Template Fields: Condition and CD:Card Condition - (ID: 40001) Values: Ungraded and Near mint or better
Really confused. Please lend a hand here...thanks...

Oh, I didn't realize you were creating a draft listing. Drafts are quite limited. You will get all of those errors because the draft template does not accept any additional columns except item specifics.
Do you really want only drafts, or do you just want something that you can manually edit to add the photos before posting?
Creating a full blown listing with a schedule will allow you to manually tweak the listing before it is visible. Use the template I posted and add a column for scheduling. When it posts to your scheduled listings, you can edit it there and then remove the scheduling.

Are you manually uploading a spreadsheet through Seller Hub? It would be helpful to see your spreadsheet. It appears you are using File Exchange headings for most of these columns, while Seller Hub headings have spaces between words. Nonetheless, the File Exchange headings should also work in Seller Hub uploads.
1) Error: Location Missing.
PostalCode
33647
This is the correct format when the PostalCode column replaces the Location column, and Location must be omitted; otherwise, look for spaces or hidden characters in the data.
2) Error: A shipping service is not specified.
ShippingService-1:Option
US_eBayStandardEnvelope
This is correct; have you included related fields, like ShippingService-1:Cost (if Flat rate)? Are you including a PackageType of Envelope?
3) Error: Return policy is not specified.
ReturnsAcceptedOption
ReturnsNotAccepted
This appears to be correct, unless you are using Business Policies. There are dependencies if ReturnsAccepted.
4) Error: Condition data is required for selected category 261328.
Condition
Ungraded
CD:Card Condition - (ID: 40001)
Near mint or better
Card conditions are trickier. See card condition fields and values here:
https://www.shipscript.com/ebayhelp/sellerhub/example_card_revisions.htm
Notice that the number of digits increases down the cascade:
Condition
4000
CD:Card Condition - (ID: 40001)
400010

Thanks Shipscript. I am using the Seller Hub but have tried just about everything including using the File Exchange field names. I will try to follow your instructions and look into the link you provided to see where I am going wrong.

Did you download a trading card template from Seller Hub? That should get you started on the right path. The XLSX file includes droplists for many items. Starting from the left, completing a cell, or making a selection from the droplist inside each cell, could modify later cell requirements in that row.
I created a sample upload with 3 sorts of card listings, based on a template I had from last year, so this is not a new template download. Nonetheless, it fills in the basics so you can see what might be required for a successful upload.
https://shipscript.com/test/fileexchange/eBay-sport-trading-cards_example_APR-13-2024_ver3.csv
Please note that in my prior example I used the heading "Condition", which should have been "Condition ID".
Columns that you don't use can be removed from the template.

You have been a great help but I appear to still be floundering...I have uploaded my Excel file here...https://mega.nz/folder/QYpwAICB#X_jSIrw5YG8pH4QL6zQ1ZQ.
The file processes but ebay reports the following details not completed but they ARE in the file. I would appreciate it greatly if you would take a look at it. Then, let me know if you like wine, cause if I get this resolved, I will owe you one. Here are the errors ebay is pointing out...
Location missing
A shipping service is not specified
Return policy is not specified
Condition data is required for selected category 261328
and, of course, the pic is missing but I expect that one.

You have been awesome. I was finally able to get it to work using your scheduling method. I even set the Store Category based on another post you helped with. If you aren't tired of me yet, I have one last request...
My current Description looks something like this:
<p><CENTER><H4>BARGAIN BIN: 2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Test Blue Prism Refractor Giants</H4></CENTER><P></P> |
I would like to add a paragraph break after that and then follow up with the following centered (quotes excluded):
"Our Bargain Bin items are designed to cost as little as possible for you, usually less than $1.50. This includes low cost shipping which is just $1.00 (+$.50) for each additional item. In order to keep costs low, your card(s) will be shipped using ebay standard envelope protected by a semi-rigid card holder. If you make multiple purchases and pay the full shipping, we will refund any overage. We cannot accept returns or guarantee the items using the ebay standard envelope shipping method for these Bargain Bin cards. If you choose to buy five or more cards, we will automatically upgrade the shipping to Ground Advantage."
I can't seem to figure out how to insert it. Again, many thanks. Further assistance would just be the cherry on top.

Well, here's the cherry on top because that is a simple task:
<CENTER><H4>BARGAIN BIN: 2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Test Blue Prism Refractor Giants</H4></CENTER> <p>Our Bargain Bin items are designed to cost as little as possible for you, usually less than $1.50. This includes low cost shipping which is just $1.00 (+$.50) for each additional item. If you choose to buy five or more cards, we will automatically upgrade the shipping to Ground Advantage.</p>
I've allowed the centered title to remain, but no one likes a centered paragraph because it is too difficult to read.
However, I would like to take it one step further and limit the width of the text to avoid ping-pong reading syndrome.
<div style="max-width:700px; margin:auto"><CENTER><H4>BARGAIN BIN: 2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Test Blue Prism Refractor Giants</H4></CENTER> <p>Our Bargain Bin items are designed to cost as little as possible for you, usually less than $1.50. I can't tell you how thankful I am for your help. If I could impose one last time...how do I combine what you wrote with the original below inside of the Excel or .csv cell...
"<p><CENTER><H4>BARGAIN BIN: 2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Test Blue Prism Refractor Giants</H4></CENTER><P></P>"

Just copy what I pasted into a cell and make sure it is one continuously wrapping line with no hard line breaks. But perhaps you are asking for concatenation automation.
First, there is an HTML error in the original code. I don't know how you want to deal with that. The <CENTER> tags encompassing the title are block-level elements around the <H4> block-level heading. Your example then puts some other block-level <p>, <P>, and </P> fragments before and aft. Can you purge those P tags (or at least the very first one)?
If you can, then put your boilerplate paragraph in an adjacent cell and ask Excel to combine them into yet a third cell.
A | B | =CONCAT(A2:B2) | |
1 | Part1 | Part2 | Description |
2 | <center><h4>title</h4></center> | <p>boilerplate</p> | <center><h4>title</h4></center><p>boilerplate<p> |
But that doesn't take into effect the wrapper <div> that I offered, so there may be four cells to concatenate into a fifth cell:
A | B | C | D | =CONCAT(A2:D2) | |
1 | Part1 | Part2 | Part3 | Part4 | Description |
2 | <div style=....> | <center><h4>title</h4></center> | <p>boilerplate</p> | </div> | <div...><center><h4>title</h4></center><p>boilerplate</p></div> |
After you export as CSV, you can open again and delete all the constructor columns and use the resultant column as the description.
