Editing a tracking number

eBay provided me with a tracking number for first class shipping as the buyer paid for, however I sent the package from the post office with priority mail to get it to them faster, so it was given a new tracking number. How can I change the tracking number showing up on eBay to the new one so eBay can give the buyer and me updates on authentification and delivery?

Seller Hub

1. On the Seller Hub Orders page, go to Paid and shipped and find your order.
2. Select the order by checking the box next to it.
3. Select the Dispatch dropdown menu and then Add tracking number.
4. Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier, then select Save.

The buyer will then get an email with the order tracking details.

My eBay

1. Go to the Sold section of My eBay.
2. From More actions, select Add tracking number.
3. Add, edit or delete the tracking number and the carrier.
4. Select Submit.

Thank you, I was able to add the tracking number! However on the eBay app, I’m still only seeing the original tracking number and not the one I just entered. Will I still be getting updates for the new tracking number on the app?

I don't use the app, so not sure how it works there. On the website, there is a down arrow on the tracking number that lets you see both numbers and the tracking info for them.

You have 5 days to VOID the first class parcel shipping label.  I only use a desktop computer with ebay, and this is how you would void that label:

Go to    Seller Hub > Orders > Shipping labels

Locate the order.  Click the down-arrow, click VOID label.  The USPS will credit your account in 2-3 weeks after they have determined the label was never used.
