Earlier this month I bought a video card from a seller on here. Soon after I payed for it I realized that I had made a mistake and asked the seller if he could refund me. He basically ended up saying that I would have to contact eBay about a return as they have my money. I told eBay about my problem which didn’t help me at all. They ended up saying to talk to the seller about it. I asked the seller again he pointed me back at eBay. This is hell

Sellers are allowed to say no when you ask to cancel a transaction. I'm sorry your seller was not honest enough to tell you this.
If he hasn't shipped yet, send him a polite note asking that he cancel the transaction as 'buyer requested', and that if he won't, you will open a not received dispute.
The cancellation does not count against him, the not received does. So let's hope he is smart enough to cancel for you. If not, you'll have to wait for the estimated delivery date.
If the last expected delivery date has already passed, skip the message and go to your purchase history - select 'I haven't received it' and follow the prompts.
The seller has 3 business days to provide tracking that shows delivery, or a refund. If he doesn't, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
