So I recently made a purchase from the UK (I am in the U.S). I clicked my current address for my shipping location. This is noted in the order details as well. But it is worth noting that my shipping address is different from my "registered address." It's the same city. But a different address in any case.
The seller from the UK sent me images of the product in question being packed and shipped. Doing his due diligence. I honestly commend him. However my concern is that on his package slip it reads "Post To" some address in England which the seller assures me is an ebay shipping location. Then the only other address noted is the "buyer registration address" which is my old address. nowhere on that slip do I see my current address. Again I stress my current address is clearly marked as the "shipping address" in the order details.
So what is going on? The seller tells me
"As a seller here in the UK whom use's eBay's own "GSP - Global Shipping Programme" for all international orders, I simply ship to their "Shipping Centre" here in the UK and then they check the item, re-ship to your registered address which is on your ebay file."
"Please do understand that I have limited information on this matter as eBay hold your customer account privately and my advise would be always to seek reassurance from them and hopefully they can clarify this is the case within a few minutes."
The concern is that my "shipping address" isn't on the packaging slip he mailed. However because this is being handled by ebay themselves I would very much like to believe they can't possibly mess up the shipping since my "shipping address" is clearly marked in the order details. Can anyone clarify?
