Ebay harassment policy

Ebay has made this a toxic and unsafe environment to buy or sell. It my understanding per California state law that it is illegal to hold money already earned from someone. Why does ebay think they can do anything to anyone and its ok?? They have been withholding my funds with no reason given, no message that my account was even restricted ( i found out when i attempted to post an item for sale) and now refuse to allow me resolve the issue. Taking money you did not earn and refusing to give it someone unless they do something is extortion.

Ebay harassment policy

Selling on eBay is a choice. If you choose to sell, you choose to agree to eBay policies.

What do you mean by "...now refuse to allow me resolve the issue?" And this, "Taking money you did not earn and refusing to give it someone unless they do something is extortion?"

Are you referring to the need to provide your bank account # so that eBay can pay you? That is not extortion. eBay's new payment processing system requires a bank account. If you would like to be paid, you must supply the required information. eBay would love to pay you, but they can't do it without your bank account. If you don't do it, eBay will eventually turn the money over to your state. eBay isn't harassing you - they are sending you reminders because you haven't taken action.

eBay's system works like the payment systems that are used on most other marketplace sites. More information here:
