Ebay dealing with FRAUD

I truly believe that Ebay does not really care about the sellers and only the buyers. I sold an item to a person, everything is clearly marked on the item:  I accept returns, the POSTAGE is shown (I charge higher postage for RARE OOP items which include insurance, postage and normal S/H charges). Everything went smoothly, they requested a refund several weeks later because they felt I charges too much for the postage. I would not send them a refund of what they thought was excessive on the postage. I said OK send the item back and sent them the return postage BUT will not refund until the item is safely in my hands and that the item is complete. Well, a few days later I received a nasty negative review stating I would not refund them for the item and charged excessive postage for the item (remember the postage is clearly marked on the advertisement for the item). So, I contacted Ebay and they stated, " the buyer has every right to post whatever they want on feedback even if it's not true". So, I receive the item back in a 6"x4"x4" box that weighed maybe 4 ounces (original item weighted several pounds and was shipped in a 16"x12"x9" box) empty with threating and disparaging handwriting on the outside. I contacted Ebay filed a claim with pictures and waited. So, Ebay refunded the buyer the full amount and the buyer kept the item. Ebay did not charge me the refund BUT to the time of this post kept the negative Feedback against me posted. I've been reading about the trend of buyers of "low moral character" doing this on Ebay by using the rules against sellers to keep the item and get a full refund. I thought this was called FRAUD!!!! Remember I'm not a multi-national business with millions of dollars at my disposal. So, a loss of a few hundred dollars HURTS! I blocked the buyer, wrote a professional response to the Feedback and I hope that other sellers do not have to experience this. I sell used and new Warhammer 40K/WHFB items and other game type items.

@Anonymous   Wow, sorry that happened.   Since eBay ruled in the buyers favor and refunded them after seeing your proof of fraud I would think that they'd remove the feedback too.

If you use FB I have sent many sellers there that had feedback removed that regular CS didn't remove.  The agents are more experienced.

EDIT TO ADD:  You offer FREE RETURNS on your listings that means you pay return shipping for any reason.   I see on the listing in the description that you say the buyer has to pay return shipping if they want to return it.   Not saying that what the buyer did was right, but just wanted to point out a policy violation on your listing.

Free returns include buyers remorse not just eBay MBG refund returns.
