Ebay Refunding customers when customer was happy with purchase

Hello I have been trying to get a hold of a live person with eBay for 2 days now. I had a customer open a case with eBay because their item didn't make it to them. they gave me 3 days to resolve it on day number 2 the item showed up the customer was happy and left positive feedback at the end of the 3 days eBay decided I didn't resolve the issue and gave the customer a full refund. So the customer received the item and was happy with it and even happier to get it for free. How is this even right am I missing something here that I have done wrong? OR did eBay just flat out steal my money. I used the ebay standard envelope for cards that dosent have as much tracking updates it took 11 days to get to my customer. I have tried emailing eBay. but I haven't heard back from the robot yet.

Ebay Refunding customers when customer was happy with purchase

If buyer is willing the easiest thing to do is just send them a PayPal invoice to repay you.
