Ebay Failed to Refund Us For Defective Item

eBay continues to allow vendors to sell items which become defective usually after the eBay 30-return policy. We have purchased products on eBay for nearly 20 years. We are contemplating to cancel our eBay account, because eBay gives us NO ASSURANCES for money back or even a credit to our account, especially when we purchase a product which becomes defective right after the 30-day eBay return policy. For a number of years, we would address issues beyond the 30 days after a purchase with PayPal, who protected us as a buyer for up to 6 months, but PayPal has recently took the position that if there are problems with the item purchased, the matter would have to be addressed with our credit card company. As long as eBay continues to allow sellers to get away with selling items which become defective just beyond the eBay 30- day return policy, a buyer will always be at the mercy of the seller or eBay to receive a full refund or a credit.
