Dropping off at USPS

Hi if I print a shipping label for USPS, do I actually have to hand the package to the post office employee? Can I just put it in the mail been at the post office when it is closed?

Yes, you can drop the packages into the bin at the post office.

However, the one time I placed packages on the counter in a specified place, the packages never got scanned, and I ended up refunding the buyers.  That caused defects which ended up causing me to be a below standard seller.  So now, I stand in line at the post office and make sure my packages are scanned.

I would be putting it in the mailbox inside the building, not leaving it on the counter.  Can I do that?

Yes, you can do that, but take a chance of the package not getting scanned.

I actually scheduled a pick up from the Postal Service at my house and it went very smooth for anyone else asking this question
