Donations to chosen nonprofit being routed elsewhere

I am a Heritage Club level donor of the NSDAR General Fund and memer of the National Society DAR and wanted to donate my 10% of all procedes of my ebay sales to this organization - but was unable to select the NSDAR nonprofit on ebays drop down box online. Candid is the contractor for ebays nonprofit donations, so I am asking that you ensure that our donations are being deposited correctly into the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution account they/we have set up as a non profit eligable to receive funds.

It appears that Candid has my nonprofit's correct accounts to make my donations go into the NSDAR's General Fund in DC, but Ebay's site does not have it on the nonprofit drop down box when listing items to sell.

If you are unable to find the exact match on eBay for Charity to the nonprofit you would like to donate to, that nonprofit has not registered with the eBay for Charity program. I just did a search and although there are four results, none of those are in Washington, DC.

In the meantime, I have not heard of "Candid". The eBay for Charity program is run by the PayPal Giving Fund. They process all donations from eBay sales to certified, eBay charities.

Thanks, we can not be too careful!  I was trying to contribute all procedes to the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as I am a member of the Heritage Club raising money for the General Fund

After reading your post, I looked up "Candid". I did not realize Guide Star is a part of that. My day job is selling on eBay for my employer, a nonprofit history museum. We are a certified, eBay charity and 100% of our net proceeds go to our museum. I've been doing that for 12+ years and it's very rewarding.

It is very kind and generous of you for donating to NSDAR. It's a remarkable nonprofit. All my best to you.

PS: this eBay ID I'm using is not for the museum.

Your employer and work sound wonderful.  Museums, libraries & art galleries are my passion.  Thank you for taking the time to respond!

I am having trouble selecting the correct DAR charity as it seems other charity sellers are using the DAR logo for various chapters that are not the official National Society Daughters of the American Revolution General Fund NonProfit that I am trying to make sales to fund.  I am a Heritage Club Member and need to keep up with donations or at least make sure my donations are going to the correct account with the NSDAR on behalf of my sales for charity.  If the widget/drop down box would offer the National General Fund for DAR that would help.

As mentioned in an earlier response, the charity needs to apply to eBay for Charity to be included as an option. If the Charity has different locations but share the same 501(c)3 number, they need to communicate with eBay for Charity to be sure their chapter is listed.
