Filed a missing package report 8 days ago. No contact from USPS. Have called post office twice and consumer help with USPS. The phone number USPS gave with the Lost Package Report is a non working number. No help at all from USPS. There will be a claim issued on it in a week but was hoping to find it. I'm out of ideas.

Ebay does not assist with locating packages. You could go to the USPS site and request tracking updates via text or email. You should get an immediate response. This is different than filing a missing mail claim.
Ebay wants to see a package moving within seven days. If the Buyer opens an Item Not Received refund request, you could ask eBay for an extension.
It is important though that you add the tracking number into the refund case.

This item was shipped on 8/8/24 and today is the 28th. Thanks for the information but I know how and to request tracking updates and do it for all my packages even the ones I sell. This situation is not the seller's fault. Just want to be clear on that. I did not know I could ask for an extension on items not received. Thank you for that. By now it is looking like the package was either lost or stollen. My issue is that the USPS does not even bother to tell me even though they say they will call. I feel like doing another search just to be annoying because they sure have annoyed me. I was really hopping the package would be found and that someone from the USPS would at least inform me of their findings. At this point I feel they have ignored the report and just don't care. My last hope was that maybe eBay would check on the item. I know they used to. I have not asked they because they will probably tell me to have the seller file a claim. She has insurance through eBay and plans to do a claim soon. I just wish the package would be found or show up.
