I entered a lady's name who was selling a car that I found on Facebook, and spoof@ebay.com verified the lady.

However after taking with a real customer service agent, I was told that lady supposedly selling the vehicle was a scammer because of the method of payment that was requested.

spoof@ebay.com is for forwarding emails purporting to be from eBay to see if they really are from eBay.  It is not for submitting names for "verification".
