Do I have to take a return if no returns is stated in listing

I had a buyer decide to want to cancel his order after I shipped the item. My listing says no returns.  Ebay has already told me I am protected on this purchase.  The buyer wants me to authorize a return label  and refund which I think I would eat shipping in both directions which I am not willing to do.  But if I say I will accept a refund I think I have no choice, is that correct? I think I am better off to say no.

-Yes, if you accept a return and provide a return shipping label you would be paying shipping both ways.

 

-Buyers cannot Cancel bids, only Sellers can do that.  Buyers can retract bids but many abuse that since it supposed to allow them to change a wrong bid that they place.

 

-Buyers cannot cancel transactions, they only Request a cancellation, Sellers have to cancel or not

 

-eBay reps have been known to get it wrong, in your case I hope they are right and that you are protected.

 

-If your return policy was that you accepted returns BUT Buyer pays you would not have this issue UNLESS the Buyer files one of several reasons that force you to pay for the return shipping AND refund in full once you get the item back

 

-The Buyer filing a claim that they did not receive their item BEFORE the estimated delivery should NEVER have been allowed, we have brought this to eBay's attention in the past but for some strange reason it still happens, sorry about that.

 

-By all means decline the return request if eBay told you that you are protected ...

Hi @guppy13 

 

First of all, the Buyer needs to file a return claim through eBay and then you respond to that.  Forget the No returns policy, eBay has numerous reasons a Buyer can select from and force you to pay the return shipping and refund in full once you get the item back.

 

The No returns accepted policy applies to remorse returns, not much else. 

 

You can just message the Buyer and let them know the cancellation request came in after the item shipped.  Nothing more, just that and see what they respond with.
