Didn't receive your item

why do I have to wait until the receipt date of an item to file a dispute? If the seller no longer responds or sent the item I should not have to wait. Is there another route I can take instead of waiting a whole other week then filing a dispute for a refund?

You have to wait until the last ESTIMATED date of delivery to allow time for the package to be delivered if in fact the package was shipped (since seller is not responding for whatever reason).

 

If you try to file a dispute too early, ebay gives you a message stating it is too early.

 

If you go to My ebay > Purchase History, do you see a TRACKING number uploaded for the purchase?  If you click on that tracking number, what information do you see?
