Customer wants refund NOW

Have a customer who has not received item in 10 days, priority mail.  They are demanding a refund NOW.  USPS says it is delayed but in transit.   Customer does not want to wait.  Wants money NOW.  If I refund money now and they later get the package, am I out?  The Post Office won't pay me the insurance money because they delivered.  Can ebay do anything about it?  Customer is threatening bad feedback and has filed a claim.

When was the last movement on the tracking?  If it was in the last few days or maybe a week, customer service can extend the case resolution date a little bit, but it isn't a lot.

To speak to customer service, use the link and instructions on this page to work through the automated assistant to get a call back -

If you refund and then the item arrives, you would have to work with the buyer to get be repaid - eBay can not force them to reimburse you or return the item.
