I have grown accustomed to searching by "contains in custom label" field when I do inventory. For instance, Contains 23, to return all items stored in Bin 23. This has made doing inventory much easier. With the latest update, I can no longer find the option to search this way. Anyone use this search? Is it still available and I am overlooking it?

The unified search field still works that way for me, except you can't type the word Contains, you just type 23 (in your example) and it will return anything with that as part of the Custom SKU field. The problem is that it also searches the title and item number fields, so you'll get additional matches. I would suggest you click Comments in the top right of that page and let eBay know the issue that they've created. The more people who provide feedback that way, the quicker the team that handles that can be alerted and change things to allow people to use the site the way they need to be able to.

A possible work around would be to add the custom label field to your active items display, then sort on that column.
To add it to the display, click customize table at the upper right on the active listing page in seller hub.

I have used that tool, but because i put price, date purchased, where it is purchased and stored location all in it, It is not always that easy on 1k listings.

Wow, that's a lot of info 🙂
How about downloading a report of active items - https://www.ebay.com/sh/reports/downloads
It is a CSV, so you could use the find feature in a spreadsheet. I don't know if this would be any faster than the generic search of active items.
