Cost to ship a USPS small Flat Rate box?

When I try to ship an item using a small flat rate box, why do I have to enter the cost? Don't most shipment ways pre-fill the cost so the buyer knows what he will pay? Do I get a discounted shipping cost? I believe a small flat rate box should cost $10.20

You need to select calculated shipping.  Fill in dimensions that will fit in the small FRB - make the height 1”.  Then you will be able to select the S FRB as the service you want to offer, and eBay will fill enter the price to the buyer.
