Confusion with the square trade folks

I made a purchase of some plastic connectors for an audio cable I am making, and as I was making my payment, the warranty popup window came up. Before I could decline and close out of the window, they had charged me $8 for a 2 year warranty on these plastic connectors. I followed the little instructions and asked to cancel the order and they declined....... The 8 bucks is not the issue until they do it 80,000 times.

I'm not sure what I could have done to do something wrong, but I figured out how to. So the question is how do we not see these type of popup's that have complete and full control of our accounts. By the feedback rating,  it appears as if we the people have noticed. What's the next step?

@steveorrenee   I recommend reporting this to eBay customer service.

If you use social media that is the best option for something like this.

You can select the option to have eBay call you or chat from the left hand side of the screen. If you are located outside of US or Canada then you will need to use the Chat option or Social Media.

It's supposed to be very easy to cancel a Square Trade warranty  - at any time. 100% refund if cancelled the first 30 days, pro-rated after that.

Try again from one of these options -
