Changing your address after ordering something with the wrong one

Ordered and saw that it's going to my old address how can I change my address on the order. I've already messaged the seller and sent the updated address. But he won't ship it cause it might void out seller protection? I changed my address in my account also.

Changing an address for a current order:

Buyers can change the shipping address at checkout right up until payment is sent. After that, the shipping address for that transaction cannot be changed.

The seller is required to ship to the address that comes with the payment or lose all protection in the event of an "item not received" case. Scammers often send messages urging the seller to ship to another address, so sellers are rightly wary of such requests.

The seller can cancel the transaction and relist to allow the buyer to purchase again and provide the correct address, but sellers are not required to do any of that.

Changing an address stored in the eBay account for future orders:

Go here to update all the various addresses associated with your account:

Make sure your preferred shipping address is set as your Primary Shipping Address and any old addresses are deleted.

When you went to ebay Checkout to pay and saw the wrong SHIP TO address, you should have clicked the CHANGE link, and made the change there, as sellers need to ship to the SHIP TO address attached to the payment.

What the seller can do now is file a cancellation (and refund your payment) for Problem with buyer's address, relist the item (and send you the new item number), and you repurchase and pay, and this time make sure the SHIP TO address is correct when you go to ebay Checkout.
