Hi
I note that my addresses includes an address that I never had - in Hong Kong. When I try to update it, the message is I cannot change the address at this time. Should I close the account and start afresh instead of pursuing this with eBay?
Thanks in advance for your responses!
Best
Kimberly

If registered on the US site, you may be able to change your registered address at the time of enrollment in eBay's managed payments for sellers. To enroll, you would need to start a listing so that you will be redirected to the onboarding process. That is where you can confirm and change your address. After your account identity is properly completed, you can find your draft listing and finish it (or just let it expire).
Otherwise, if you can't fix the address there and are thus not able to enroll in Managed Payments, then go ahead and start a new account with your current info, since your name and address must match the name and address on your identity documents and checking account. You will need to provide a different email address for the new account than was used for the original account.
Please note that the federal government has instituted a whole lot of new identity laws since your account was first created, and eBay will be complying with those laws when asking for documents. The checking account will be required if you choose to sell.
We want your journey here to be as great as can be, so we have put together some links to help you get quickly familiarized with the eBay Community.
