Cannot add items to cart

If you are using a desktop browser, I would recommend clearing your cache and cookies, as eBay data may be stored on your computer that is no longer relevant. Alternatively, you can try a different browser which may have a similar effect.

If you are using the mobile app, check whether there is an update available. There may be a bug in an older version that is not compatible with newer site changes.

I don't know the limit of the cart, but 49 items is a lot. Checkout can handle only about 10 items at a time; and after a few months have passed, many items in the cart would no longer be available.

If you are adding items to your cart to keep an eye on them, it would be better to add them to your watch list instead.

Cannot add items to cart

If one of the sellers of the items in your cart is on vacation, you will get that error message when adding a new item to your cart.

For best results, remove or "save for later" all the items in your cart.

Starting with an empty cart, add an item you want to your cart and then check out.
