Buying while having an offer

If I buy an item I have a best offer on will it say that the offer was declined or that it expired once I buy the item

ONLY if the listing is for a quantity of 1.

To be more specific:  only if it is a single-item listing (where there is no quantity option) or in a multiple-item listing (where there is a quantity option that might have counted down to "1") if the seller has selected options for the listing to end if the quantity gets to 0 (and I don't think there is any way a potential buyer can tell if that is the case).
