There is a new tactic being used to sell counterfeit coins, The coins come in a slab with 5 or more of the same coins, such as Peace dollars, Draped Bust dollars, Seated Liberty dollars, all the same date in the slabs, poorly artificially toned and presented as either authentic to the category or as 999 silver. There are a few different usernames selling the same product, but it is my opinion it is one seller using multiple usernames. I have reported these listing and have received replies from eBay that either, a representative or AI has checked into the listing, but they do not violate eBay policy. Be aware when a listing of 5 supposed silver pieces has a low bid and a look as I have described. I am disappointed there is not more effort put into reigning in counterfeit coins on eBay as it hurts the selling platform as well as unsuspecting buyers who will lose faith in eBay as a reputable marketplace for collectables.

This is not a good forum to warn users of particular hazards. There is no general readership who browse the topics, only those few "Community Mentors" who are authorized to respond to posts of others. Everyone else is here for answers to their own questions (either asking it or searching the old responses).
You would get far more eyes on your post by posting to the Buying discussion board https://community.ebay.com/t5/Buying/bd-p/bidding-buying-db and/or the Coin and Paper Money group https://community.ebay.com/t5/Coins-Paper-Money/ct-p/1114
We want your journey here to be as great as can be, so we have put together some links to help you get quickly familiarized with the eBay Community.
