I sold a collectible doll set on the GSP that is approximately 10 years old. As a doll collecter I store all dolls in side my home as many are valuable, this one included. The buyer asked this question as apparently the box smells mouldy & damp. I assured them the only thing that could be causing the smell is the shipping box. They’re now threatening to send it back as it’s causing their whole family to become massively ill.
how can this be my fault? I’ve been selling & collecting dolls for years & never once had this kind of complaint. It’s also getting to the point where I’m sick of doll collectors trying to scam me, I had one last year too. I’m only selling as I need the money. Please help, would eBay force me to have the doll returned at my expense? Which will be expensive. Also because the doll was sold still sealed I have a feeling I won’t get back everything inside. What happens in that instance?

The international shipping program will pay the claim and handle the return. Ask the buyer to open a return request.
