Bell Notification Icon is Taking Forever to Load?

This started about a week ago. I have noticed that now, the little bell notification icon on the top right, that lets you know of the most recent alerts, takes at least 10 (sometimes more) seconds to load now. While I am waiting, if I hover over it, all I see is white/blank space. Do we know why this is occurring? Is it happening for anyone else?

Notice: it happens on the desktop website but not on the app. I use the website 95% more than the app.

It appears to have been fixed. I am not sure what the issue was but now it is working.
