I had 2 books in the shopping cart, eBay offered me a checkout code. I went and got a 3rd book i didn't really need. I went to use the coupon code and it didn't work. I found that super annoying, like a bait-and-switch. I just did the buy now for 3 books x $4 each. I'm just angry and wonder if this is a trick that eBay plays often.

I'm sorry that happened.

The coupon codes are per seller, and a seller may only have certain books for the coupon. Generally, you can see the books it applies to by clicking the coupon.

If you tell me here (or privately) which books you bought (eBay item numbers), then I can be more specific in my help.
