Auto-checkout is keeping me from waiting for other auctions to close to get combined shipping.

All of a sudden my account is doing auto-checkout, without my authorization or input.  I've never been told this was happening.  It is stopping me from waiting for additional auctions to close so that I can get combined shipping from the same seller.  There must be a way to override this?  I got a teammate on the phone and all she said was to delete my CC, then re-enter it, which I did, but if I don't authorize it for bids and offers, I can make any.  Then once I do authorize it, it auto-pays.  In my over 20 years on ebay, I've never NOT paid for something.  Give me back control!!

Buyers can’t turn it off, but a seller can.  If you’re wanting to bid or make offers on items from the same seller, ask if they will turn it off for you until you complete your purchases.
