For about 2 months now I have noticed that the auto relist isn't working. I've always used it and I have auctions with a starting bid and a buy it now option. Instead of my items automatically relisting if they don't sell, I have had to manually relist them one by one - week after week. Not only are my items not being auto relisted- and yes, I do check the auto relist box- they are being counted as a regular listing and adding up to my 250 monthly limit....and I start getting charged .35 a listing. I have called multiple times and spoke with Ebay agents and they promise to get back to me yadda yadda and they never have and I'm still stuck in this situation. The agents even told me that I was doing everything right and they would report the problem to Ebay. Anyone else have this happen to them? It's getting very annoying and like most of us here, I depend on Ebay sales to help meet my family's needs. Please tell me why this is happening.

sounds like you were using the Quick Listing Tool, which is what new sellers and infrequent sellers use. The QLT gives you up to 8 free relists. It now appears ebay doesn't feel you are "new" and therefore, no more free relists, so you are being charged for the listing when you exceed 250 for the month. Instead of using auction format and relisting, why not use fixed price, where the listing is Good Til Cancelled every 30 days.
