First time auctioning item of more value (antique) with more substantial shipping cost (due to weight).
1. Do I have to accept the final bid at the end of the 10-day auction if I think it's too low?
2. I accepted eBay's recommended shipping cost, but it is very low (so low a bidder inquired). Can I raise it or am I stuck paying the remainder?
Thank you!

These are questions you should ask before listing your item for sale.
Always start your auction at the lowest price you will be happy to accept. That way you will be satisfied if you get only 1 bid.
Never let eBay suggest an amount for shipping. Always weigh and measure your item in its shipping container with all packing material. Enter that info and the shipping will be accurate. Do you have a box big enough? I would have offered these items for local pickup only.
You can not ask the buyer for more money for shipping - you are expected to cover the difference.
You are expected to complete the sale, since you set the opening price and the shipping. Still, no one can force you to ship something. If you cancel, you must use the reason I am out of stock. This leaves a bad mark (defect) on your selling account, and your buyer can leave feedback. Just a few defects will restrict your ability to sell here.

Yes you must accept the winning bid no matter what amount unless you paid eBay for a reserve price on the auction. A reserve price is not cheap and is charged every time the auction would automatically relist if not sold.
Any shipping charge you set on the listing cannot be changed after the sale. You should always determine the size and weight of the packaged ready to ship item and then check the shipping calculator yourself.

Thank you, this is very helpful information! Expensive learning curve for me unfortunately...

If it were me I would cancel those listings. You can cancel the bids and end the listings here:
You may need to pay a small fee to cancel the listings but it would be much less than you would lose if you try to ship those items for the amount you are charging.
This is not something I recommend you use as an out for listing incorrectly, but as a new seller,, you have to do what is best for you.
Then use @wooden_flower suggestions to relist them with the correct pricing and shipping.
eBay does not allow unlimited cancellations with bids but if you have not done this before it might be the best option.

I would definitely cancel the bids and the listings as @golfingaddict suggested. I didn't check how much time you had left.
You will be charged the fees as if you sold the items, but as @golfingaddict described, this is going to be way less than the loss on the shipping.
