I recently sold an item with Fedex shipping options and calculated fees paid by the buyer. When I went to pack up the item, I decided it would be safer to ship in a slightly larger box I had available. The increased dimensions increased the shipping cost a by a little bit but I did not mind covering it out of pocket - I'm just selling personal goods not for profit.
The issue I ran into is the ebay system generated the label very quickly with the original shipping data - in just happened in a click or two and not something I intended. So I went back and created a new label with proper shipping data. I know in the past I had a similar situation and I could simply void the initial label.
In this case the ebay help is telling me Fedex labels cannot be voided because they are not charged until the package is delivered. Okay great - I'm fine with that part. But the sold item now has 2 tracking numbers attached to it. Is there any way to remove it (I'm assuming the tracking number on the item is linked to the label so probably not)?
What would happen if the buyer decided to open a claim stating the item was not fully received?

There is no way to remove the tracking number, but as long as the second one shows delivered you should not have a problem.
