I am getting more eBay purchases shipped to me in Amazon boxes, here's what I think is happening.  One signs up with Amazon for Prime (free shipping )  they list the item on eBay and when it sells, they use their prime to have it shipped free directly to the eBay customer and in one case charging me shipping charges.  This seems like a novel business plan but eBay needs to know the take-away is , maybe I should be checking Amazon first and save some money??  Just a thought because I am now checking Amazon for pricing before buying on eBay.  I was exclusively an eBay customer!

If an eBay seller is using a personal Amazon Prime account to fulfill eBay orders, the seller is violating both eBay and Amazon policy.

Often such accounts can be identified by a combination of low feedback number, free shipping of heavy items, use of identical stock photos shared by many similar sellers, poor feedback received with complaints of delays and wrong items or out of stock cancellations, very odd item selection and/or quantities like items were chosen at random from a catalog, canned item descriptions scraped from another site, differences between registration location and item location (or vague item location -- like "US, United States"), or inability to answer even basic questions about the items being sold.

I have received at least two order in the last year that arrived in Amazon boxes and this was not a re-box situation, the box was on it's first use.  I do not have a problem with seller doing this, but it does beg the question, " could I have gotten it for less on Amazon?"

Sellers can sell on both Amazon and ebay, and have their inventory stored at Amazon warehouses.  When an item on ebay sells, the seller has Amazon ship the item, under their FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon).  This is perfectly fine with ebay.  What is NOT fine with ebay and Amazon, is a seller that uses their Amazon Prime account to ship items they purchase on Amazon to be sent to the ebay buyer.  You will know this is what happened if you receive a Gift Receipt with your purchase.

Your eBay sellers get free shipping and a break on the price of the item at Amazon, but they have to have a Prime account.  The Prime account isn't free, there's a yearly fee.  I knew what it was at one time, but I can't remember now.  It would hardly be cost effective to pay for a Prime account just to purchase a couple or a few items.

There are some issues however with that business plan.   The river does not allow it's prime account to be used like that and will cancel it if they find out.  Mr B does not want you getting rich with his business.

Then eBay does not allow that type of sale either.  While dropshipping is allowed, it has to be a real drop ship company. You can't just hand off orders to another retailer.

In any case you should always check price in as many venues as you can before buying.  The only way to insure your getting the best value for your money.
