Logged in tonight, first time on PC in awhile and was confronted with the new system. First thing I noticed was all my folders I made weren't listed. I had things like "Good buyers" "jerks" "sales in progress" "refunds" etc. This is prretty essential to me keeping things straight. I saw the switch back to classic so I hit it and to my relief my folders were there. Unfortunately all the messages that were in them are gone. I have checked all the folders and the messages are not there. Can anyone help me find them or are they just gone forever? Thanks

eBay only keeps recent messages; at the moment I can see about a hundred messages in my inbox total, going back about two or three months.
It is possible to download a communication report which is a spread sheet that includes some message text content, but I have not experimented extensively with that to see how much text is included or how it is organized. You can request one report by date range, and it typically takes a week to generate the report and make a link available; then you have another week to use the link before the report expires.

If you have your eBay messages forwarded to your email, you may be able to recover message text from your email archives that way, though that will not help you to know which folder you put each message in.

Until this update I had messages in there from months and even years ago. Now I have nothing, not even ones I recieved last week. I also don't seem to be getting any messages. I usually get at least some kind of spam from ebay but not today. Somethings broken
