Advice Appreciated

First thing, is there any way to cancel a return request? A buyer requested a return to which I agreed but only if the buyer pays for return shipping. When I sent that response it went through as an approval to accept the return at my cost. So I'm supposed to purchase a return label now or allow ebay to send one then bill my account. The auction stated no returns accepted so technically I don't have to accept one, but it was a brand new item and I know without doubt that it was complete and brand new, so in this case I will accept the return, but again at the buyers expense (it cost about $12 to ship)

The buyer is insisting he received it but it was missing pieces. I know for a fact that what left here was not missing anything as I had opened it to take pictures for a MIR, then used my own shipping supplies to secure everything so it wasn't bouncing around in the box like it was when I initially received it. Also the size/weight on my shipping receipt matches that of what the item is. I feel fairly confident that this is a case of the buyer misusing ebay protection, he took out what parts he needed and is ok with returning a few small miscellaneous junk parts for full refund.

But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm just curious what he thinks I have to gain by sending a faulty item that I gained a whopping $4 on for all my time and effort. It's just not worth the headache. If I accept the return and pay the shipping I end up losing $50 on the whole ordeal. Granted it could be worse, I've read some of the horror stories on here. But clearly money is tight when you're willing to bother with a listing, shipping, and customer service for just a few dollars, I can't afford this kind of loss.
