$25 unused gift card shows $0.00 balance

I bought this gift card from Walgreens yesterday, and they even gave me an activation receipt showing that it was activated, but whenever I try to use the gift card, it says that there is no balance left on the card. The Ebay balance checker also says this. Does anyone know what the problem is?
