Hello just before Christmas I purchased a project for winter being retired it keeps me busy. I purchased a 1975 Harley-Davidson that was in very sad shape. I went to have the out-of-state which was a Michigan title checked in Indiana and the police officer said it was stolen. About a few days before it was sold on eBay. After getting the runaround and not being able to understand the people that I've talked to at eBay they gave me somebody here in the states which directed me to somebody else in salt lake City Utah which they then directed me to AIA insurance. I really don't know what AIA is doing for me I email them or call them and once in awhile I might get a response that's $3,900 thrown into the lake I feel. I filed a request for being reimbursed initially right off the bat when I found out at eBay. He was supposed to pay me back by the 21st of January that came and went the person I speak to at AIA his name is Chris said that fella has emailed him and said he doesn't have the funds. Yet he continues to sell motorcycles on eBay. I just don't get it I've been on eBay for over 20 years buying and selling nothing big small items mainly motorcycle parts that I've had for years. And overall it's been a good experience but the first large item they really took me to the cleaners. I really wonder if there's anything I can do. If anyone has any knowledge of or has been through this let me know thank you much Tom.

Does the listing state the vehicle is covered by eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection? If so, read the rules for undisclosed title defects and filing a claim.

Yes it seems to be stated that there is vehicle protection that's the first thing you see in the pictures they always stick up on eBay. But getting them to follow through that's another thing a far greater thing that I think they are lacking first of all it was no no no until I was persistent and then they gave me the person it's a group of 12 as I understand oddly in salt lake City Utah and they take it up and at least I can understand them. Cuz they're here in the states even though the other people try to speak English it's false sadly poor. But then they connected me up with AIA insurance but it's an insurance company and I'm sure they like all insurance companies they're in business to make money not give money back so you know I in the end I think anything like this in the future I'm definitely going to be buying from a friend or a friend of a friend not on some internet selling site. eBay or whoever can say we we cover this we cover that and so on but when it comes down to it's nothing but words
