Good evening. I noticed on a listing for a large tape deck, that the seller offered local pickup of the item. However, the seller said there was a $ 15.00 fee for local pickup.
This is the first time I've seen a charge for local pickup. Granted, the charge is not high, and it's much cheaper than paying for shipping the item, but, what are ya'll's thoughts on why the seller is charging for local pickup?
Thanks!
Robert

Sellers can charge a fee for local pickups.
Pickups can be more of an inconvenience than shipping for some sellers. They have to set aside time from their day, take a day off work, etc. I don't have any problem with it. The seller sets the terms of sale and if the buyer doesn't like those terms, he is free to find a different seller.
