12 people have the same item in our cart? How is this possible?

There are 12 people myself included will have this item in our carts. And I'm wondering if this is some sort of a scam? How can the 12 of us be purchasing the same item?

If it is a buy it now item it is not sold until paid for. People add things to their carts all the time as a way to watch it instead of using the watch list. They will also add it to see if the seller will send a discount offer to purchase.
