Why is eBay not updating the 1099=K requirements for tax year 2023. The IRS is NOT requiring a 600 dollar threshold this year, it will be 5,000. It may cause undo stress  for fear of having to pay taxes on a small amount

Whether or not you are eligible to receive a 1099-K form, and no matter what the minimum threshold is, sellers must still declare their eBay sales on their tax return using Schedule C, as has always been the case.
