best i can come up with is that eBay now has a 51% controlling interest in the very fabric of reality itself and can thusly relate peanut butter to the big bang theory to the jfk assassination and all we can do is nod our heads and accept it as fact. *shrug* gave up awhile ago...

There was an Ebay staffer who explained it earlier. East-West trans breakthrough = Erie canal erie = scary

ok--i get it now...they were relating 'erie canal' to the word 'eerie' or 'scary'..that wasnt quite the breakthrough in east west transportation that the panama canal was...thats where i went...i know know all about panama listings..
