Hello all. Well, I guess the storm can strike in more ways than one. Even though we all thought everything seemed nice and calm lately, it turns out someone, for some reason, purchased one of my items, then left negative feedback the next day. To make a long story short, I have investigated it myself and found it to be the husband of the person who created a storm here earlier. I"m sure some of you know who I'm talking about. How sad and low of these people, but not to worry...it's already under ebay investigation and will go further (and even legal if necessary). I suggest ebay figure out a way to better handle people like this...like creating a way to stop people who have a 0 rating instead of those with soley negative ones.

Thats a BIG bummer Mikesay!! I remember you durning the TH and you were very nice!! That auction ended on Feb. 28th and he left the FB on the 1st. Thats suspicious. Whats a RASICT anyway? How did you ever figure that it was the husband though? Hope you can get that removed!!

Good luck mike. With cases like this there has to be a way to get that kind of feedback removed. I sure hope you can get this resolved. I would comment further, but I don't think anymore is necessary.:-(

That's such BS!!! I was on the boards during the hunt, didn't post much casue I was busy looking for answers (to no avail..lol), but I was reading the posts and have kept checking in. I have really enjoed you guys' even though I was silent for the most part. It's a da*m shame that much immaturately and just plain nastiness has happen. And, you can bet your 'sweet bippy' 😉 I would have sat and refreshed if I could have!

I truly hope ebay does the right thing for you.

mikesay, I am so sorry for you! I cannot believe that people would "stoop so low" as you put it! How do you know it's a husband of the "someone". If it is, that is so sick and wrong. And how can you prevent that from continuing? You can put them on your blocked bidders list, but then do they just keep creating new names and continue doing the same thing??? There must be a way to stop it. I never sell anymore (Thank Goodness), so I am not sure what I would do. You know "someone" posted a thread yesterday that made no sense then, but now... Go read it and see what you think?

I hope eBay has a good solution for you. I do feel your pain. Please keep us posted on how it's going, and Good luck to you!

lol...oldys, I had seen that you used it when I was checking in on the forums so it was my lame attempt to let you guys know I had been around. "Lurking", I believe they call it..... lol I did recognize it from the days of "Laugh-In" when my dad used to watch it.

Mikey - I cant stay on now got things to do, but checked in and found your thread. I knew something was strange with that post from the STORM yesterday. We were just here having some fun and it is so unfortunate that some people are so miserable. I am wishing the best for you, and hope that ebay supports you in this the same way I do. I'm sure I speak for ALL of us here when I say.. Wishing you well. If this had happened to her could you imagine the WHINNING she would do...If the STORM should read this - You may think your funny and clever, but your nothing but a KI**JOY for those who are able to enjoy life. I had to block out some letters as to not add fuel to her fire. Obviously spoiled children - turn into spoiled adults... needing attention and to be in the spot light... I will never call her by name - she doesnt deserve ANY attention.

LOL Thanks for stopping in airportexec. I caught on to your "lurking" right away when you uses "sweet bippy" and knew you caught that thread. Glad you have been checking in as many of us Chu-holics have been doing ever since the "hunt". I have enjoyed this groups friendship and humor throughout the weeks hunt. I recall a desperate plea for "help" from *dineen* in the later stages of the game. I quickly searched for one of those helpful links that everyone had been posting to aid us slow searchers in our quest for the treasure. But alas that too eluded me as the other prizes did, because some other nice eBayer had already come to *dineen*'s rescue. This has been what has meant so much to me in week that was the hunt and the following comaradery(sp) established by all the players that enjoyed the game. It is too bad that it has to be spoiled by a few that just can't understand the big picture of the "CHU". Thanks for letting me speak my mind. No offense intended. Have a wonderful day everyone.:-x

Thanks for all the kind words. Simply, this became an investigation process for me. The buyer who left me negative feedback has 0 history and had only been created recently, so it was obvious this was just someone doing it on purpose. Then, the person requested my contact information, which in turns gives me their contact information. While their phone number seems fake (555 area code?), the name wasn't. The name was that of the STORM after the word comic. Further investigation, that if you put the STORM's screenname in yahoo and press search, you get a geocities website that has two names, one of which is a girl (and probably the STORM's) and the other the same name that's in the STORM's screenname and the name I was sent of the person that left me negative feedback.

I mean, the evidence is there, and this is a low thing, and believe me, I plan to pursue this quite far. What amazes me is that ebay can let someone like this completely create fake information. The phone number, I believe, is fake, and on paypal the person listed their address as "111 somewhere street." Hope ebay sees that they should require verification of information before allowing someone to bid, and this is the last time I use buy it now so I can cancel (0) bids.

And don't worry, there are lots of options available to me, including ebay, the resolution service they use, and ultimately suing for breach of contract and defamation of character. If the storm or her husband are reading this right, I'd suggest contacting me to get rid of that negative feedback before this becomes a LOT more than you bargained for.

You know I went into the "feedback boards" earlier and on there they stated that giving false information was a definite cause to have neg. feedback removed and user suspended I think. If you are interested, I will let you know where to go to report it etc. let me know.
