I don't get how you go from International Symbol of Liberty to TRIANGLE. Maybe I'm just overlooking to obvious?

I googled "International symbol of liberty" and Triangle... No results. I don't get the connection. Yeah, ok, a triangle is 3 sides united, like someone else said in another post... but INTERNATIONAL SYMBOL? and we're looking for LIBERTY, not UNITED!!

The only triangle I can find that is an "international symbol" is a Pink Triangle as and International Symbol of Gays and Lesbians.
