Come one come, all to the lodge, for great winter sport and comfort. Cozy up to the fireplace or dine on fine food and beverage, but more important, have a good time and fine conversation with friends of old and new. Come one, come all and enjoy the ambience. You won't be disappointed.

Pasta is pasta, in my opinion.
I like a clean house, but am not fanatical about it. Not any more anyways. The older I've gotten, the more laxed I've gotten.

house clean? Me? Oh man, I do my duty but.... well, like Husband says, just a little cluttered but clean. I am working at getting stuff out of here, one room at a time, but the snow slowed me down....
Exactly Close, spaghetti, pasta, pasta, spaghetti....same difference!!! This is what comes of thinking you are a cut above everyone else, and she really does think they are a cut above the rest of the family!!!! YOu know what really grates on me though....when Sophie has a birthday they send a card but never ever give her a gift. Sophie happily accepts the card and doesn't every ask why no gift. I know we have no right to expect anything for her birthday but she is a child, they enjoy being spoiled with gifts on their birthday. And if they do one day have a child what do we do on it's birthday refuse to buy it gifts because they don't buy ours a gift? On her side of the family there is one little girl, her sisters daughter and you can bet your bottom dollar that that little girl gets a gift on her birthday!!!
My house is clean, but also looks "lived-in". Guests don't have a problem with feeling comforable.
Close and Cricket I haven't done any housework for a fortnight!!! My house is a tip, the laundry is on the kitchen floor hence the reason for making a start on that tomorrow and then making a start on the living room and getting around the rest of the house hopefully!!!!
Catherine, just follow your heart. One can not fault a child for their parents' behavior.
Never put yourself down to their level. Do what you would normaly do. I have a sister in law, the same way. She finally had a little girl. I have always remembered her. They have never remember my kids on their B-days. No biggy, but I'm just not like that. Their loss...
Close, I know what you mean about the snow slowing you down. Plus, when it's like that & you're practically homebound, it's depressing, so you don't feel like doing anything.
