probably the bankrupt thing, Grant wrote his personal memoirs and sold them to get out of debt reight breeofre he died.

I think it has something to do with the book... the family lives in poverty and one of their even poorer neighbors is beating a dog named Shiloh...I don't know, it's been a really long time since I've read it.

I thought about the movie Shiloh but thought that too big of a stretch. Tried North South, Muskats, nothing!! These are such a stretch I don't know how anywone can do this, I have only even been on KIND OF the right track a couple times

the battle of shiloh was the bloodiest battle fought prior to gettysburg.......it took place on april 6th and 7th.....http://www.rugreview.com/cw/cwi1.html no where does it infer debt or kits or relief......kinda stupid huh....

Yes, the connection is that at the end of his life, Grant was in very bad debt. He ended up writing a memoir to help make money. He finished it they day before he died.

Wouldn't it be funny if that one HAD been found by accident. The auction itself is a get out of debt kit 😉
