THERE ARE THREE KINGS SITTING IN A CIRCLE FACING EACH OTHER. STANDING IS A QUEEN WITH A BOX WITH 3 SILVER CROWNS AND 2 GOLD CROWNS IN IT. THE KINGS ARE AWARE THE 3 SILVER CROWNS AND 2 GOLD CROWNS ARE IN THE BOX. THE QUEEN TELLS THE KINGS TO CLOSE THEIR EYES AND THEN SHE PLACES A SILVER CROWN ON EACH OF THEIR HEADS. SHE THEN TELLS THE KINGS TO OPEN THEIR EYES AND LOOK AT EACH OTHERS CROWNS BUT NOT AT THEIR OWN. THE QUEEN ASKED IF ANY OF THE KINGS CAN TELL WHAT KIND OF CROWN IS ON THEIR HEAD? A MINUTE GOES BY AND THEN FINALLY THE WISEST KING SAYS "I KNOW, MY CROWN IS SILVER." how did he know???:|

The only way to tell what color your crown was, was to see the other two kings were gold crowns. And the other two kings didn't know what color their crowns were.
I know that's not the answer, but it's got to figure in the reasoning, I would think.
It seems like reading comprehension isn't everyones strong suit. It states that the other two have silver crowns in the riddle. JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR: NO ONE IS WEARING A GOLD CROWN, ACCORDING TO THE RIDDLE.
If I looked and saw that one king was wearing gold and one silver, that would mean I could not be wearing a gold crown because there were only 2 gold crowns and no one answered that way.
the wise man knows that he could not be wearing a gold crown. if he were then one of the others would realize that if the other two mean were wearing a gold AND a silver crown then he could NOT be wearing a gold crown himself or the third king would hvae now immediately that HE could ONLY be wearing a silver crown. hope you understood that explanation.
sorry for the typos in my last post. but did you all understand what I was saying. it is a matter of figuring what the other men do NOT know in order to solve this riddle.
