It's just not fun any more. A really clever puzzle is so difficult that it takes awhile for somebody to solve it, but when you see the answer you slap your head and say "ooh, I should have thought to try that". These puzzles are instead making me say "ooh, I shouldn't have spent an hour searching in vain when any one of 10,000 different associative directions could have been the right one." It's a lottery ticket and I'm tired of scratching.
