I tried so hard because I am engaged to be married this year and so far I have no money for the wedding. GRRR. You guys keep dragging me in. The reason I run a 250 deficet each month and have no creditors calling is because I work my ass off to make EXTRA money. I unload trucks, help people move furniture, yard sale to sell stuff. And every month I manage to make the money to pay for it.

i do not understand why everyone feels the need to judge other people. if someone wants to ask ebay for $1000-- let them ask. it hasn't hurt any of us any. it really isn't any of our business one way or another if they do or why they have if they have chosen to. what their finances are is really none of our business.-- they didn't ask you personally for the money. if they had all you had to say was no. no need to demean an challenge the way a person is living their life. live and let live. we all were hoping to win $1000- i'm sure we could all come up with at least 1001 ways to use the money. i know i could have not bought a coffee today and that would have gotten me .85 closer to one of my financial goals. couldn't we all se ways in which we could improve? can't we also see ways in which we could be worse? i'm thankful for what i have but i also try to improve upon it. i wish you all the best and hope that you can look at others as you would want them to look at you. i hope we can all temper our judgements with kindness and goodwill.

Man oh man...I just read all the postings, my heart goes out to some of you...Since everyone else is posting their sad story, I'll keep mine short and simple...pregnant at 15, dropped out of high school, got married at the couthouse, 4 months later he left me for my lil sister, met someone new, had another baby, he left me, got evicted 2 kids and homeless, pulled my shi* together, met Mr. Wonderful (can't get married cuz my husband won't give me a divorce), had another baby (mind you my kids are 11, 7, and 17 mos...I had long term relationships with each of their fathers)...been in college a year now owe 18,000 in Stafford Loans (I've also recieved 11,000 in grants and scholarships)...drive a crappy car with no license (cuz I can't afford reinstatement fees)...I do what I gotta do every day to survive, and thank god every day that I do...I don't regret participating in this treasure hunt even though I was not a winner...between clues, I got some help with my algebra which I have a final on this week...laughed at chu, with the rest of you...learned stuff that might be helpful later...and my kids helped me look for the treasure and do searches for relevant information on the clues, which they really enjoyed...All in all, it was a pleasant experience...If you think about it, didn't we all aquire at least one piece of knowledge during this hunt, (even if it was the just knowledge we all won SOMETHING!) I'm not sure whether kodiak should get the money or not, but I don't see any harm in him asking...And without him asking, he wouldn't have gotten that knowledge of alternative ways to cut the costs as many of you have posted here...Good luck to you all with your future endeavors...

kodiakwou I am back but, unfortunately, I have some bad news. I am not going to be able to help you at this time as I promised. I checked on my bank accounts and both my checking and savings accounts have been wiped out. It appears the Nigerian Oil Minister was a scam. Don't know what I am going to do now! My only hope is that Mrs. Ogawa comes through for me. I wish you the best. Gotta go because I just received a new chain letter and I have to forward it to 47 of my friends within the next 5 minutes or I will have 5 years of bad luck.

You need to believe that you can have this wedding and you can, stop listening to all the your life is miserable and your going no where atttudes on this forum, that is what happens when you try to do the right thing. There is all kinds of ways of doing wedding exquisite and cheap, find someone going to school for photography or who likes it has a hobby and they might do it just for the experience, I would have when I was in photography school I think, and many times someone just starting in the dj business will do it for the experience also, one thing God loves is weddings and when you make up your mind to do it you will see provision come in like you would not even imagine after all Jesus turned the water into wine at a wedding. And I have personal experience with this with many miracles provided for my daughters wedding

Frankly, I wouldn't give him a dime. For the simple reason that I believe he's just trying to exploit ebay, and this contest, and gain the boohoo sympathy of others. I'm sure we all have some kind of financial problem, and $1000. would be a blessing. But I'm not going to get on my hands and knees and beg and implore ebay, or anyone else for that matter. That is beyond humiliating, and beyond pathetic in my view.
