Hi everyone,
I recently came across this beautiful handwoven lidded basket and would love some help identifying it. It appears to be made of natural fibers, possibly sweetgrass or a similar material. The basket has a unique shape with a tiered lid and a finial top. It measures approximately 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide.
I believe it may be vintage or handmade in a traditional style, but I’m unsure of its origin or age. Based on preliminary research that I’ve done, it could possibly be Indigenous, Gullah, or a similar type of origin. If anyone recognizes this type of weaving or has insight into what region or culture it may come from, I’d greatly appreciate it! I’d also love any guidance on its potential value if you have experience with similar pieces.
I’ve attached a photo for reference. Thanks in advance for any help!

I purchased this more than 10 years ago at a flea market, and it was already an older piece, so my guess is that it is vintage. I didn't receive any information at the time about it's origin unfortunately.
I’ve attached links to photos I took for reference. Thanks in advance for any help!
